We, at ACET believe excellence goes beyond numbers and
scores. While theoretical knowledge plays a crucial role in every student’s
life, being practically sound and active is what makes the education complete.
With the ever advancing technology and the indulgence of innovation, it is very
important to understand the importance of hands-on technical experience.
Several of our technical initiatives include:
1. Robotics
ROBOLAB was started by the Mechanical Department in 2014
making a mark in the upcoming field of Robotics and Industrial Automation. It
includes design, construction, operation and application of automation in the
field of robotics. The first fully fledged robotics lab in North India,
ROBOLAB, under the guidance of MR. Dharminder Singh features “ACET Robo Cell”,
a group of young robotics enthusiasts.
2. Big Data
Started by the department of Computer Science and
Engineering, the big data analytics lab offers the students with a chance to
understand and study data analytics, familiarizing them with the ins and outs
of analysis of data. It also promotes research activities in data analytics
under the institution of computer science.
3. Cyber Security
With the penetration of internet into our daily lives, we
are at more risk of being attacked than ever. Although the technology is
guarded and secured by several algorithms and security measures to make it a
safe experience, there is always a scope for betterment and improvement. The
need for better cyber security solutions is in demand. ACET is working hard to
achieve this and has a center for excellence focusing on cyber security.
Several training programs and workshops are organized to familiarize the
students with the industry needs and specifications. A recent MOU with Sedulity
Solutions and Technology has gained the students an access to the latest
industry specified equipment and technology.
4. Networking
Networking is ever expanding and keeping this necessity in
mind, we have partnered with Texas Instruments and National Instruments,
Bangalore to allocate several technology kits and conduct workshops for the
students to work on the latest technology and work on real-time simulation processes,
working their way into the technical world before they actually graduate. These
initiatives will help students develop technical skills and understand the
complexity of designing circuits.
5. Six Sigma
The mechanical engineering department proudly presents a
certified course in six sigma, collaborating with BHEL Institute, Haridwar.
Students undertaking this course will be honored with a six sigma green belt
certification which helps them turn into accomplished engineers, industry ready
with the ability to work in any sphere of the industry. The primary goal of
this course is to eliminate limitation and increase efficiency, multiple folds.
6. Oracle/Java
ACET has collaborated with Sun Microsystems (now acquired by
Oracle) to promote interest of students in the field of IT and technology.
Students can enroll themselves for the weekend classes inside the ACET premises
and prepare for several certifications provided by Oracle in the technologies
of Java and SQL Database. This certification gives our students an edge over
the competition and puts them in lead for top jobs in the industry.
7. CCNA
ACET collaborated with CISCO in 2008 to train its students
inclined towards the field of networking in certification courses offered by
the networking giant which plays an important role in securing top notch jobs
in the industry. Our authorized CISCO lab in the ACET campus not only provides
updated technology to the students but also provides them with discounts for
these certification courses pertaining to academic use. Hands-on learning
experience, online courses and interactive sessions make it easier for the
students to prepare and appear for these online tests through Pearson Vue
testing center and add it to their list of skill
